Pronutrients, preservatives and mycotoxin binders were the main topics of the training, provided by the technical-commercial team of Biovet for the customers of porcine of Romania,in the Chamber of Commerce of Tarragona, institutional headquarters of Biovet S.A.

PRONUTRIENTS
In May, PhD. Elvira Cano, veterinarian of technical team of Biovet S.A, explained the main lines of Biovet S.A. for pig farming. In particular, she highlighted the importance of the use of pronutrients, micro-ingredients of botanical origin, which improve the animal physiological state and with it the productive parameters of the farms, respecting animal welfare.

During the meeting, immunostimulant pronutrients, such as Alquernat Inmuplus; conditioners of intestinal mucosa, such as Alquernat Nebsui and hepatic regenerators, such as Alquernat Livol were the main subjects.

NATURAL PRESERVATIVE
Regarding the preservatives of the Alquermold line of Biovet, “the objective is to conserve raw materials and feed to reduce the presence of bacteria, fungi and yeasts”. – Dr. Cano highlighted.
In this sense, Dr. Cano explained the properties of Alquermold Natural, a bactericidal and fungicidal preservative for raw materials and compound feed, which combines the action of an active principle of natural origin, the cimenol ring, with citric acid. In addition, its incorporation into drinking water allows the control of the main pathogenic colonizing microorganisms of the intestine, such as Salmonella, E. coli, Clostridium, Staphylococcus, fungi and yeasts.

MYCOTOXIN BINDERS
Regarding the mycotoxin binders, Dr. Cano explained that the Alquerfeed Antitox, based on Silicoglycidol, has a mycotoxin binding action. Its use in birds, pigs and ruminants prevents enteric problems and intoxications (mycotoxicosis) by ingestion of feed contaminated by mycotoxins. “It is effective at low doses and does not adsorb other products such as vitamins, enzymes or drugs in its structure,” said Cano.
