Biovet’s technical training day was held in Coopcibao’s headquarter and introduced by Lic. Solange Guaba from Sanut, S.A. and it was about mycotoxins and pronutrients.

First, the productive consequences caused by the presence of mycotoxins in feed for poultry and pigs were exposed, as well as results obtained with the application of Alquerfeed Antitox, especially in the control of zearalenone and fumonisins. Later, the mechanism of action of pronutrients-based additives was presented, pointing out the differences between these and the drugs used in animal feeding; and also the results obtained with Alquernat Nebsui and Alquernat Zycox on improving intestinal mucosa’s physiology.

The training session ended with a brief explanation about the productive and laying physiology of laying hens, with emphasis on calcium metabolism (intestinal absorption and deposition in the bones), hepatic production of albumin and results obtained with the application of Alquernat Livol, Alquerfeed Ovoponedoras and Alquernat Magacal.
